Block Blast evokes nostalgic Tetris vibes while offering addictive fun in its purest form. If you’re looking for a straightforward but exciting puzzle game, you’ve come to the right place!
A new addicting puzzle game
The game doesn’t require an introduction, as the gameplay is pretty simple. Your goal is to remove as many blocks as possible. This will earn you points and gradually beat your own high score.
You can get more points if you fill multiple rows or columns in a row with blocks. If you run out of space because the block you see doesn’t fit in any row or column, click on the button at the bottom left to rotate the block.
Unfortunately, you can’t compete against other players, but maybe that’s the reason for the game’s success. There’s no one breathing down your neck and you can try to beat your high score as often as you like.
Tips for Block Blast
- Ideally, you should place some tiles on the left and some on the right.
- Leave enough space for a single column to place another, longer piece. You will see that many rows are then cleared at once.
- Start by removing blocks from the edges and corners to create more space on the board and minimize the risk of blocked areas.
- Try to merge special blocks to create bigger explosions and better effects.
- Take your time to plan each move carefully.
How to Beat Levels in Block Blast
If you’re stuck on a level, these tips will help you progress:
Be sure to Clear Lines Early
Don’t wait too long to start clearing lines. The earlier you create space, the easier it will be to fit new blocks and keep the game going. Letting the board fill up too much can leave you with no options for placing pieces.
Work From the Edges In
Try to fill the edges and corners of the board first. This will help open up space in the middle, giving you more flexibility with how you place your blocks. Avoid cluttering the center early in the game.
Make Use of Power-Ups (If Available)
Depending on the version of Block Blast you’re playing, power-ups or special pieces might be available to help you out of tight spots. Use them wisely, especially on boards that are nearly full, to clear lines and open up space for more pieces.
Restart When Needed
If you make a mistake early on, don’t hesitate to restart the level. Starting fresh with a new approach can sometimes be the best way to beat a challenging stage.
If you’re looking for similar games, Tetris, 1010!, and Blockudoku are excellent choices that provide a comparable gameplay experience.
Each one offers its own unique twist on the block puzzle genre. However, if you were to ask me for my favorite, I personally enjoy Tetris Blitz.
